Shipping Policy
BloomWood Cabinetry partners with regional freight carriers specializing in cabinet and large-item delivery. Orders are securely packaged, palletized, shrink-wrapped, and strapped for shipment. The specific carrier and service level are determined by your delivery address and order specifications. Our logistics team will notify you of the scheduled delivery date and assigned carrier prior to dispatch.
Order Processing & Lead Times
- Standard Finishes: 1-3 days for order processing. The delivery lead time may vary based on the local weather and carriers.
- Lead times may be extended for special customizations or delivery locations requiring special access.
- We reserve the right to fulfill a single order through multiple shipments from different facilities if necessary, at no additional cost to you.
Delivery Services, Terms & Fees
a) Standard Commercial Delivery
- Service: Delivery is made to the curb or dock of a commercial address/jobsite via a lift-gate equipped truck.
- Cost: Included for destinations within our standard service area.
- Responsibility: The driver will place the pallet(s) on the ground at the delivery point. The recipient is responsible for further moving materials to their final interior location.
b) Limited Access Delivery (Additional Fees Apply)
Additional fees apply for locations with constraints such as:
- Residential addresses (homes, apartments, condos).
- Inability to accommodate a standard delivery truck.
- More than five steps, narrow driveways, or required elevator use.
- Requests for indoor placement (first dry, secure room).
A quote will be provided upon order confirmation.
c) Restricted Access / Special Handling (Quote Required)
A custom quote is required for locations including:
- Remote rural or dense urban areas with loading zone restrictions.
- Locations requiring ferries, toll bridges, or escorts.
- Destinations outside the contiguous United States (Note: Warranty is void for international shipments).
- Deliveries requiring non-standard equipment (e.g., cranes).
d) General Shipping Terms
- Fees & Changes: Shipping charges are calculated and paid at checkout. Changes to the shipping method after checkout may incur fees.
- Accessibility: All destinations must be accessible by a tractor/trailer unit. Non-commercial addresses are subject to residential/Limited Access fees.
- Appointments: For residential or appointment-required deliveries, the carrier will contact you 24 hours in advance to schedule a delivery window.
- One Attempt: Shipping charges cover one delivery attempt. Failure due to customer circumstances (no one present, inaccessible site) will result in additional re-delivery and/or storage fees.
e) Receiving, Inspection & Claims Procedure
A responsible party MUST be present to receive, inspect, and sign for the shipment.
- Count & Inspect: Verify that the number of pallets/boxes matches the Bill of Lading (BOL). Inspect all packaging for visible damage before the driver leaves.
- Document Issues: ANY discrepancy in quantity or ANY visible damage MUST be noted in detail directly on the driver's copy of the BOL. Take clear photographs of the damage and the packaging.
- Do NOT Refuse Shipment: Accept the delivery while noting all issues on the BOL. This is required to file a future claim for concealed damage.
- File a Claim: Report any damage or shortage to BloomWood Cabinetry within 48 hours of delivery to initiate a freight claim. Do not contact the carrier directly.
